Internet speed relates to the bandwidth used by different smart home devices installed for a variety of functionalities. Most of the smart home devices will not use much bandwidth except Smart Camera, which requires higher bandwidth for live streaming to APP. It is recommended to 2 MBPS with a Wifi router supporting 2.4GHZ or a dual-band WiFi router 2.4GHZ & 5GHZ. If broadband is not available in your area then the Home Automation system can work at 3G/4G speed as well.

The power outage will not reset the implemented configurations of the installed devices which means that there is no need for configuring the device again when the power returns to home. The smart home devices remember its configuration even though there is no power and when the power returns the devices will continue to work as usual.

No, there are no recurring costs or subscription fees. You will be only required to have the smart products and implementation cost initially. As usual, your electrician will be able to assist you should there be any issues with the solution. However, if you are required to have annual maintenance services from Marrath then we are happy to provide such services if needed.

Most of the smart home devices use very minimal amount of data. For instance, the remote control of switches, plugs, bulbs, sensors, and other devices having similar functions will require very small data as these devices only information when its status changed or when we try to control it from Marrath Home APP.

However, Marrath Smart camera streaming and recording in the cloud will consume slightly higher data and this would affect the data usage based on few factors such as when and how to record; record seamlessly for 24X7 or only record incidents; record high resolution due to the risk of intrusion or low resolution; a busy area with several motion detection will trigger more streaming etc. Also, the data usage numbers can be dropped down by our recommended settings and scheduling to operate at only specific times of the day etc for the camera.

Nevertheless, we believe that most of the internet service providers are allowing unlimited usage for subscribing within a reasonable amount and the internet is now widely available and getting cheaper and better every day.

• An electrical outlet/plug for powering the smart curtain motor shall be provided on top right or left corner of each window such that when curtain is provided the plug will not be visible and will be hidden under the curtain. The ideal position for the plug/outlet is 20 cm either to the top left or to top right from the edge of the window.
• Additional power outlet / plug socket shall be provided at the exit doors to place the android or apple tab permanently so that the tab can be continuously powered. This tab will be used for scene automation. For example while leaving the home you can press one button to switch off all lights and appliances excluding fridge using the installed Marrath Home APP. The scene automation is completely configurable which means you can configure as many scene automations as you want. You can also do this using your mobile APP so that you can avoid the cost of a separate dedicated tab.
• Electrical outlets for powering smoke detectors and gas leak detectors in the kitchen shall be placed on the ceiling; not exactly on top of the burners, but within a permissible offset.
• When the project includes a proposal for Smart LED strips or recessed lights for gypsum ceiling or any other place of desire an electrical outlet/plug point shall be provided.
• It is advisable to have an indoor gate switch within WiFi range so that the Marrath Home APP can be used for opening and closing the Gates.

The basic requirement for the installation of Marrath Home Automation Solution is a WiFi router from a good service provider. The devices communicate to the Marrath Home APP through communication protocols devised within the hardware and backend of the APP to receive the transmitted signals.
